I had my doubts even going into this restaurant. It's a hole in the wall. However, to my other surprise the staff were the friendliest people I have met in my life. Never mind the food it was just Divine My friend suggested that I have to try the wings. I am so glad I have never had anything that delicious before the soup. Just amazing. It's like a symphony of taste all together making the most harmonic music

You know that feeling when you’re playing a video game and you stumble into a secret area? Yeah that’s Le Petit Cafe in real life. Tucked into a subterranean office complex in Lowell, LPC has temple like tranquility when you enter. As you walk in I saw small tv by the kitchen playing the episodes of the Fresh Prince of Bel Air. There are plenty of folks from the community of all different ages having their meals and catching up in low volume conversations. This was truly a well known secret of the neighborhood. All of the food is prepared in a small kitchen by an energetic grandma and it that looks like it was somehow transported directly from your favorite grandmas house. Our lovely server carried her newborn baby around when she would visit the tables was so kind and welcoming. This is the kind of true authentic and warm hospitality we all yearn for. When it comes to the food, I really don’t have the words to describe how good and healing this food is. I’m not an expert when it comes to Cambodian food, but I do love everything I’ve had so far. A few noteable stand outs: - the grilled stuffed chicken wings with lemongrass over white rice…. Simply divine. Deboning, stuffing, and grilling each wing to order is a true labor of love that tastes like heaven. - sandwiches / buttered bread…. Trust me this isn’t no western restaurant bread and butter service. The bread is a flakey baguette toasted and rubbed with butter on the inside and some other delicious sauce on the outside. This is a must especially if you ordered served with the beef soup . - noodles, soups, rice porridges … basically everything on the menu is outstanding. This place is the true meaning of a gem and deserves your business.

Nice spot to get great authentic Cambodian food. I got the bahn mi beef and chicken sandwich. Delicious and flavorful. The service was great ! You can eat in but I had to take out because I was watching the game home. I also had the beef and noodles soup, I recommend this place.

I have been meaning to try this restaurant for a while, and I am so happy that I did. The family that owns it, are so nice. The food is incredible. I tried the toasted butter bread, crispy chicken egg rolls, and stir fried flat noodles with chicken. Highly recommend!

Wow, pleasantly surprised at this little hole in the wall, AKA a gem! The food was delicious; we all had pho, it warmed our souls! The staff was friendly and served us well. Plenty of seats and room for everyone. Make sure you check this place out. You won't regret it.

UNBELIEVABLY good food in a hole-in-the-wall-type spot. Standouts were the stuffed chicken wings and the spicy beef sausage, as well as the beef stew with bread. Service was really sweet and friendly too. And the prices are super reasonable! One of my favorite places I’ve eaten this year.

One of the oldest family-owned Cambodian restaurants in the area, and one of my favorites. Introduced to me by my grandfather when I was a kid, the food still tastes as good as I remember it. Their specialty are the twakoh or beef sausages, stuffed chicken wings, meekatang or stir fried flat noodles and my favorite is the beef stew noodles with butter bread. It is a hole in the wall restaurant that’ll warm you up with all the love and care put into the dishes being served up. Be sure to bring cash as they are cash only. Definitely worth a visit if you never had home cooked Cambodian food before.

Le Petit Cafe - Lowell is a hidden gem nestled at 660 Middlesex Street in Lowell, Massachusetts—a small Cambodian restaurant that feels like stepping into a warm, familiar kitchen. This unassuming spot, tucked away in a subterranean office complex, offers a quiet refuge filled with the aroma of authentic, home-cooked meals and the friendly hum of local conversation. The care and love infused into every dish are impossible to miss, reflecting generations of culinary heritage brought to life by a passionate family-run team.

The star of the menu is undoubtedly the grilled stuffed chicken wings. Each wing, meticulously deboned, stuffed with lemongrass, and grilled fresh to order, delivers an explosion of flavors that linger long after the last bite. Paired with fragrant steamed white rice, this dish feels like a perfect harmony—a careful balance between smoky char and fragrant herbs. It’s a true labor of love, and it tastes like heaven on a plate.

Another standout is the toasted butter bread—no ordinary bread and butter service here. The flaky baguette is toasted to perfection, buttered on the inside, and glazed with a savory sauce on the outside. When enjoyed alongside the rich, savory beef noodle soup or the hearty beef stew with French bread, it elevates the meal to something transcendental. This bread carries a unique texture and flavor that makes it a must-try for anyone visiting.

The menu’s breadth also offers Bahn MI sandwiches bursting with vibrant flavors, crispy chicken egg rolls, Phnom Penh noodles, and comforting bowls of Mee Ka Thung. The beef noodle soup and stew warm the soul, providing both flavor and comfort in every spoonful. For those looking to balance the rich and hearty dishes, a cool, refreshing lassi or a perfectly brewed hot or iced coffee rounds out the meal beautifully.

What resonates the most about Le Petit Cafe is its authenticity, not just in the food but in the atmosphere. The scene is intimate and casual, with a grandmother tirelessly preparing dishes reminiscent of cherished family recipes. The staff’s warmth and welcoming nature transform a simple meal into a memorable experience. It’s a place where food heals and hospitality shines, where every guest is treated like family.

Le Petit Cafe - Lowell is more than a restaurant—it is a culinary sanctuary that honors Cambodian traditions with every dish. For anyone craving the soulful depth of Southeast Asian flavors served with genuine warmth, this is a must-visit spot that delivers both nourishment and joy.
